I get to work over in Healseville for the Yarra Valley Arts Council. Here's a couple of workshops that I've created for them.

The Yarra Valley Arts Council is a not-for-profit organisation that plan events and activites each year in the Yarra Valley. They can also auspice events, projects and activities for non-incorporated groups. Check out their website for more info.

Healseville Summer School.

I was asked to run art classes at the Summer Art & Music school. I had two groups, one 15 kids aged 6 – 9 and the next 10 – 13 year olds. I had made these trees from cardboard and paint and asked them to fill them with tree creatures. Emphasis was on drawing skills. This then became an evolving group piece, involving performance and installation. It was interesting to see the group dynamics become important as they all felt artistic ownership over the piece. We had some great stuff appear, an elephant in a hammock, a snake wrapped around the trunk, protesters complete with 3D chains, batman, fruit and much much more. I was very happy with this workshop, it was very lively!

Glenn Scolyer and I put up a Colouring for Kids workshop. We spent the say whipping up black and white batmans, lizards and birds for great colouring in times.
